Makeup Tip of the Day: Get your foundation right!

For the person at home, you don't need several different foundations to achieve many different finishes. From super matte to dewy and radiant, you can utilize products you most likely already heard of to create whatever look your face desires.

If your skin is having a great day and you only need a little bit of coverage, or just don't feel like wearing a load of makeup, then a sheer finish is what you're after.

Try mixing your make-up 50/50 with your daily moisturizer. Spritz a bit of water, MAC Fix +.

Alternately try using a dampened makeup sponge such as a Beauty Blender, or even latex makeup sponge, and either dip into your foundation/moisturiser mix and stipple all over your face or apply with your fingers and use the sponge to blend. Perhaps even skipping powder altogether, or simply applying a thin layer all over the or only to the areas where you get oily.
